The fountain was inaugurated in 1897 by Félix Faure and commemorates the pre-revolutionary events of 1788 (Day of the Roof Tiles) that paved the way for the French Revolution.
Take the bubbles up to one of the most stunning views of the Alps. At the summit, there are an interpretation path, fortifications, art center, Mountain Troops museum, restaurant, and souvenir shop.
